Sen.
Barack Obama (D.-Ill.) portrays himself as a thoughtful Democrat who
carefully considers both sides of controversial issues, but his radical
stance on abortion puts him further left on that issue than even "NARAL
Pro-Choice America"
In 2002, as an Illinois legislator,
Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have
protected babies that survived late-term abortions. That same year a similar
federal law, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, was signed by President
Bush. Only 15 members of the U.S. House opposed it, and it passed the Senate
unanimously on a voice vote. Obama voted against this bill in the Illinois
senate and killed it in committee. Twice, the Induced Infant Liability Act
came up in the Judiciary Committee on which he served. At its first reading
he voted “present.” At the second he voted “no.”
Jill Stanek, a registered delivery-ward nurse
witnessed aborted babies’ being born alive and left to die... testified
twice before Obama in support of the Induced Infant Liability Act... Stanek
said her testimony “did not faze” Obama. In the
second hearing, Stanek said, “I brought pictures in and presented them to
the committee of very premature babies... trying to show them unwanted
babies were being cast aside. Babies the same age were being treated if they
were wanted!” “And those pictures didn’t faze him [Obama] at all,” she said.
Also as a senator, Obama has opposed
measures to criminalize those who transport minors across state lines for
the purpose of obtaining an abortion.

Oregon health plan covers assisted
suicide, not drugs, for cancer patient
An
Oregon woman suffering from lung cancer was notified by the state-run Oregon
Health Plan that their policy would not cover her life-extending cancer
drug, telling her the health plan would cover doctor-assisted suicide
instead.
Barbara Wagener discovered her lung
cancer had recurred last month, the Register-Guard said. Her oncologist
prescribed a drug called Tarceva, which could slow the cancer growth and
extend her life.
"I think it’s messed up,” Wagner
said. She said she was particularly upset because the letter said
doctor-assisted suicide would be covered. “To say to someone, we’ll pay for
you to die, but not pay for you to live, it’s cruel,” she said. “I get
angry. Who do they think they are?” (The
Government woman! Remember they told you they were going to create a
socialist healthcare utopia, if you just voted the system in. REMEMBER IT'S

He wants to know how confident
we would feel right now if our Social Security was tied to the DOW. Well
Barack, about as confident as I feel about the U.S. Dollar that is
plummeting against nearly every other world currency. Thanks to your

This guy is so disingenuous he makes
my hair hurt. For your information Mr. Obama, The DOW has consistently
provided a FAR LARGER rate of return, (even during the Great Depression)
than Social Security has. Need I remind you of
Galveston County, TexasWho opted out of Social Security a nearly quarter of a century

in Galveston County, Texas, for nearly a quarter century. Local government
workers voted overwhelmingly in 1981 to opt-out of Social Security in favor
of a locally controlled system that has since been widely described as a
phenomenal success.
The U.S.
Treasury Bonds purchased with money from the Social Security "trust fund"
pay approximately two percent. But for the period from 1982 through 1997 the
rate of return on funds invested in the Galveston plan has averaged 8.6
percent, a
return more than 400 percent greater than Social Security.
Workers earning
$51,263 a year could retire at 65 with a monthly benefit of $3,846, while
the same worker participating in Social Security would receive $1,540 each
month.

Launching a two-week economics tour in
a state the GOP usually considers safe, Obama warned that McCain's policies
on taxes, spending and energy would continue the nation's slump, which some
fear is already a recession. He called for new taxes on oil companies and
wealthy individuals, along with $1,000 tax cuts for most working families.
Obama offered no new policies in his
speech, which he read from teleprompters. Rather, he used the occasion to
emphasize his economic differences with McCain and summarize earlier
proposals. They include raising income taxes on wealthy individuals,
granting a $1,000 tax cut to most others, winding down the Iraq war,
tightening credit card regulations and pumping more money into education,
alternative fuels and infrastructure such as roads and bridges.

who is the priest at a different, Catholic, church -- spans decades.
In September, the Obama campaign
brought Pfleger to Iowa to host one of several interfaith forums for the
campaign. Pfleger has given money to Obama's campaigns and Obama as a state
legislator directed at least $225,000 towards social programs at St.
Sabina's, according to the Chicago Tribune. Pfleger appears to have been

want you to seriously consider this before you go any further in this
article. Would you take your children to a church were racial prejudice is
taught, or where condemnation against all that you love and hold dear
reigns from the pulpit?

Obama about his minister, friend, and spiritual advisor, Rev. Jeremiah
Wright. If he didn’t believe in all of that would he take his small

Afghanistan would like to see US Presidential Candidate Barack Obama take
over at the White House, while Somalis would prefer to work with Democratic
rival Senator Hillary Clinton, according to a series of interviews conducted
over the past month by The Senlis Council in Afghanistan and Somalia.
When asked which of
the Presidential candidates they would back, 69% of those questioned in
Afghanistan favoured Obama, with 26% in favour of Clinton. In Somalia, 47%
of civilians surveyed supported Clinton, with 44% backing Obama.
